Windsor Brain Tumour Walk 2018

Chase Nation

This year will be our 4th year attending the Spring sprint. A walk to raise money for brain tumour research.

This walk is very important to us as most of you know Chase has a brain tumour. He has been through so much in the last 5 years. First being diagnosed in 2013, and undergoing a very lengthy Brain surgery. Then in 2015  we noticed over a few MRI scans that it was growing.  So after a few scans confirming the growth he started 72 weeks of chemo to help the tumour stop growing. The chemo did it’s job for those 72 weeks with no growth and Chase breezed through it all with little to no complications. He has been off chemo since October 2017 and over the last 2 MRIs we have seen more growth. We are now on a wait and watch approach and if the next scan shows growth we have to discuss another treatment plan. Chase has kept the best additude through all of this. He has made so many friends along the way.

Every year Chase’s team “Chase Nation” receives so much support from friends and family. And we truly thank you. All money raised goes towards the brain tumour foundation of Canada and helps to continue doing much needed research. One of our options is to start a new clinical trial in Toronto to target his specific tumour but without research this would not be possible.

Everyone is welcome to join us the day of the walk or if you would like to donate any little bit helps. If you don’t want to add it online you can give the donation to someone on the team who will add your donation to the website so we can keep an accurate count of how much Team Chase has raised.
