I’m part of I’m part of the movement to end brain tumours and I hope you’ll join me in this Canada-wide effort to put a stop to this disease.
As some of you know, Ryan, Amanda and I lost our courageous Mother on January 17, 2018 to Stage 4 Glioblastoma (Brain Cancer).
As I (Janelle) became my Mom’s primary caregiver, I witnessed first hand the rapid progression of this horrible disease, as it took my Mother’s life in only 4 and a half months. Having known nothing about Brain Cancer (except that The Tragically Hip’s Gord Downie had it), I am now determined to bring as much awareness and funding for research, so no patient or family should have to suffer through this. Less than 1/10 people diagnosed with Glioblastoma will survive - We desperately need a cure!!!! Please kindly take the time to donate or join “Team Maureen” and walk with us on Saturday, June 2nd in Toronto in Memory of our beautiful Mom, Sister, Daughter, Nana, Friend & Colleague. Thank you so much for taking the time to read & donate!
All money raised through Brain Tumour Walk events strengthens the national movement to end this life-changing disease and brings hope to individuals and families across the country:
Hope for progress in discovering the cause of brain tumours.
Hope for better treatments for every child and adult diagnosed.
And most of all, the hope for a cure.
Thank you for supporting us, and more importantly, for helping the 55,000 Canadians who live with a brain tumour today.
