UPDATE... I AM NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO DO THE WALK THIS YEAR!!! MY SURGERY IS GOING TO BE ON JUNE 5. I AM GOING TO BE IN THE HOSPITAL FOR A FEW DAYS AND IN A CAST MOST OF THE SUMMER! I AM NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS AT ALL!!!! I AM STILL GOING TO COME DOWN TO THE PARK BUT I DON'T THINK I AM EVEN GOING TO BE ABLE TO HAVE A SCOOTER THIS YEAR :( I HAVE DECIDED TO KEEP OUR TEAM BRIGHT GREEN CAUSE WE STAND OUT AND IT'S ALWAYS BEEN OUR COLOUR!!! PLEASE LET MY MOM KNOW IF YOU ARE GOING TO WALK WITH US AND WE'LL GET YOU A NEW SHIRT! THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS SUPPORTING ME! NATE
I am doing the brain tumour walk again this year on June 24th and would love it if you could come out and join my team or donate to me. This year I am also changing our team name to Nate's Peeps and I MIGHT change the team colour but I haven't decided yet. But if you are going to join our team, please let my mom know your shirt size regardless cause it is a new name and we'll make new shirts.
I am hoping that I will be able to walk the 5kms but if my mom hasn't told you yet I have to have another really big surgery on my foot, I will be in the hospial for about 4 days and then I will be in a cast for 2-3 months so hopefully it won't at the walk time but if it is, I will do something fun!!!
This walk is really fun and I hope that we can make this one of the best years yet! I really want to beat all my other years for fundraising and hope you can help me! brain tumours really suck and I hope we can help find a cure for them one day. I still have to take medicine and the doctors keep finding new dumb things wrong with me that the chemo did, but I am ok! I hope I can help all of the other kids and people who still have brain tumours.
I hope you can come out and walk with us or donate to me.
I've joined the movement to end brain tumours by taking part in Spring Sprint. I believe no one should hear the words, "you have a brain tumour".
This is why I'm fundraising for Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada. Patients and families need information, support and education. We also need more research. There are too few treatments for this disease and survival needs to be improved.
Every dollar raised by Spring Sprint goes towards these goals.
Thank you for giving and, more importantly, for helping the 27 Canadians diagnosed daily with a brain tumour. You're changing lives.
Share this video to encourage family and friends to support you.
The current total amount raised for the Vancouver Brain Tumour Walk is $85,624.82
