Fundraising Tips

Dollars raised at the Banff Jasper Relay, go directly towards brain tumour research into the most common form of brain cancer. All donations will be doubled!

Together we will help kids not only survive brain cancer, but thrive!

Below are some ideas on how to boost your fundraising to achieve your goals, and help this vital research. Learn more about the Pediatric Brain Cancer Impact Grant and the impact your efforts make.

Note: If each runner donates just $75 dollars, we can easily raise $67,500 dollars for Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada's research efforts.

1. Donate to yourself first
Show your loved ones and network of friends that you are ready to change the future for kids with brain cancer!

2. Tell your story and post photos on your personal page
Why are you participating? Why is this important to you? Share your reasons by emailing it to all of your contacts - family, friends, neighbours, and colleagues. You'll be amazed at how generous people are once they hear about why you are participating in Banff Jasper Relay and fundraising for this important cause.

3. Use social media
Share your story on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Social media is a powerful tool and one of the best ways to share your story and help promote the cause.

4. Ask
This sounds simple, but it's really important to ask directly for a gift or donation to support your fundraising. People want to help, and the easiest way for them to do so is to give.

Look how easy it is to get to the $1000 mark!

Donate to yourself.
Set the tone for your fundraising and your supporters will follow suit – often with the same amount or more!

 5. Matching Gifts
Many companies have Matching Gift programs where they match every dollar raised by an employee, or provide a cash donation to recognize volunteer hours. Matching Gifts are an excellent and very easy way to boost your fundraising. Ask your HR department if your employer has a Matching Gift program. If you need help accessing matching gifts, contact the Help Desk:
